The Selection of artists was by a two-tier process: first at national level, through invitation and open call which was shortlisted; and then through a final selection from the national shortlists by an international jury composed of the curators from the six co-organizing countries.
Each of the six co-organizing countries show up to 10 international artists in a variety of outdoor and indoor sites. Artists work in-situ for a period of two weeks. Spaces, materials, permissions, technical support and basic preliminary designs/ideas are all organized and explored by the curators and managers before the artists arrive.
The Curators for 'Sense in Place' Site-ations International, Europe 2005 are:
